Open Position(s) - Washington Courthouse, OH

  • The primary responsibility of the Assistant Shift Leader is to work in an adolescent residential treatment center with girls ages 13-17 that have experienced a high prevalence of traumatic event and ensure third shift (11 pm - 7 am) runs effectively.

    Shift Leader Job Duties:

    • Scheduling team of residential specialists and ensuring shifts are covered.

    • Ensures all documentation is complete and correct before the end of shift. (includes daily and individual logs, UIR’s, Maintenance requests, Supply Requisitions, STSM’s, and any other required documentation)

    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the units during scheduled shift.

    • Maintains and monitors other employees to maintain confidentiality at all times.

    • Completes all Major Unusual Incident and Unusual Incident reports correctly and completely. Notification of incident is given to designated persons in a timely manner with the correct paperwork sent and/or faxed, if required.

    Requirements:

    • High School Graduate with previous experience working with youth and previous supervision experience.

  • PRN/as needed nursing position is responsible for the provision of professional nursing care to the girls at the Ranch of Opportunity; assists in coordinating medication/somatic services that address client needs; provides information regarding client conditions and responses to medication according to physician orders and to collaborate pertinent information to other treatment disciplinary for the progress of clients treatment.

    Requirements:

    • Must be a registered LPN or RN through the Ohio Board of Nursing.

    • Caring and empathetic person who understands the high prevalence of traumatic experiences in persons who receive behavioral health services.

    • Knowledge of children who have experienced complex traumas, mental health and substance abuse issues.

    • This position also requires candidates to pass Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training, which requires individuals to be physically capable of sustained, intense exertion. May not have a physical disability or condition that would prevent one from participating in the physical restraint techniques and exercises (such as dropping repeatedly to knees, supporting another adult's weight, twisting and turning.

  • The Heritage of Hannah Neil residential is hiring for full time 2nd shift (3-11pm) and 3rd shift (11pm -7 am) and pool Residential Specialists. Due to the nature of residential care staff will be required to work on weekends and holidays (premium pay is given on holidays) .

    The Residential Specialist will be responsible for adhering to the daily activity schedule while providing quality, effective, and efficient therapeutic interventions to boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 11. The ideal candidate must be a caring and empathetic person who understands the high prevalence of traumatic experiences and understand mental health and substance abuse issues. This position will include interacting with the kids including providing direction, playing games and completing activities.

    Requirements:

    • Prior residential, care giving, or child care experience is desired.

    • High School Diploma or GED

    • Valid driver's license, car insurance, and safe driving record desired.

    • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • We are now hiring for a nurse (LPN ) to provide care to the children in residence. Nurses work 12 hour shifts from 7am - 7pm and 7 pm - 7 am. We are now hiring for full time or pool/PRN.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Coordinates medication support services with community support program personnel in order to insure provision of effective, efficient, and safe client care in accordance with established state and agency standards.

    • Assesses and evaluates client needs as related to service planning efforts to assure that mental health issues are addressed.

    • Consults with community support program staff in the formation, implementation and delivery of individualized service plans. Assists other behavioral medicine staff in coordinating client care.

    • Performs nursing assessments.

    • Compiles and communicates information to the community support program staff and/or behavioral medicine staff on continuity of client care issues.

    • Provides nursing care to clients including, but not limited to, the administration of medication; implementation of nursing procedures as ordered by the physician or as indicated by the nursing assessment; verbal and physical interventions in accordance with professional standards.

    • Initiates crisis alerts when appropriate for clients who present with exacerbation of symptoms which require crisis management plans, or requires a change in level of care.

    • Conducts health assessment consultations when problematic health histories are reported by clients.

    • Provides written/oral information on medications in a language and format that is understandable to the person receiving it.

    Requirement:

    • License/Certification: LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse)

  • Housing Opportunities for People Everywhere (HOPE) is an Eastway program that works with adults with behavioral health and/or substance abuse disorders experiencing homeless.   We are hiring a Manager of HOPE Housing; this position requires an independent licensure of a LISW or LPCC or a licensed Psychologist. 

    The Manager of HOPE Housing will be responsible for the operations of the HOPE Housing Program and the Bridges Rapid Re-Housing programs.  This will include leading and supervising an ACT team consisting of a psychiatrist, therapist, nurse, housing coordinator, and community support specialists in support of the recovery and housing placement and stability of persons with co-occurring disorders including serious mental illness and substance use disorder. This program delivers services that assist homeless individuals toward housing and recovery.

    Job Duties:

    • Supervises HOPE Housing ACT Team of 10 employees.  

    ·         Assumes responsibility for the overall budgetary and compliance performances of HOPE Housing and Bridges Rapid-Rehousing.

    ·         Conducts clinical supervision and maintains supervision logs to comply with agency policy and state regulations.   Also, provides clinical oversight to the adult residential employees.  

    • Actively works with clients who have limited awareness of illness and poor adherence to treatment regimes.  Identifies the underlying barriers to treatment adherence, i.e., lack of transportation, loss of entitlements, and lack of understanding of medications. Works in collaboration with the psychiatrist and nurse to maximize adherence to prescribed treatments.

    • Works as a team with all clients in the HOPE Housing program and provides direct practice with clients as necessary to help them achieve their goals and stable housing.

    ·         Conducts and/or supervises diagnostic assessments according to the requirements of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

    • Ensures that charts comply with clinical, accreditation, funding, and agency standards.

    • Assists with the preparation of grant applications, compliance documentation, and outcome measures.

    • Prepares and submits federal and homeless system outcome measures as required.

    • This position has an on-call component to support team members who are on call.  

    Requirements:

    ·         Master’s Degree in Counseling or Social Work or doctoral degree in psychology.

    ·         Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, or Licensed Psychologist required.    

    ·         Grant writing experience preferred.

    ·         Valid Ohio Driver’s License with proof of car insurance.

    ·         Experienced in Windows-based computer applications.

    ·         Knowledge of certification and accreditation requirements of CARF.

    ·         HUD and grant-funding administration preferred. 

    ·         Prior experience working with the homeless.
