Who is Eastway Behavioral Healthcare?
Founded in 1949 and incorporated in 1957, Eastway Behavioral Healthcare is one of the largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit organizations serving adults and adolescents struggling with mental illness in Ohio. Touching over 10,000 lives a year, Eastway utilizes a Recovery Model that teaches individuals how to overcome their challenges.
Our mission is to advance the overall health and security of individuals and the community by providing excellent behavioral healthcare, rehabilitation and housing services and to advocate on behalf of individuals with special needs.
Honors and Accomplishments
In 2012, Eastway won the Best Places to Work in Dayton Award.
In 2007 and again in 2011, the Ohio Psychological Association honored Eastway Behavioral Healthcare with the OPA Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award.
Also in 2011, Eastway won the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Business Excellence in Workplace Flexibility in recognition of innovative and effective workplace practices.
